Several large factories can be found within Eight. Most of the population works in the factories, often inhuman hours, in dangerous conditions.
Pepper's Pot is the local pub. This highly industrialized district breeds a rather pessimistic outlook and the pub is the only place people seem to be able to get away from their problems.
These are warehouses that were once used as holding stores for textile factories, but they've since been abandoned since factories began storing their resources on site. Most of these have become home to squatters and gang activity.
The Justice Building is gloomy. A refurbished textile factory, it is five stories tall and made of dusty grey brick and stone. Drunks are commonly seen being dragged into the building.
Homes are mid-sized and close together. Each home has a medium-sized backyard, three bedrooms and one bathroom.
The kids of Eight tend to go to school regularly, at least until they are old enough to begin work with their parents in the factories.
These are large, cottage-style homes made of grey and black panels. They are not situated on much land, but they each have a large wrap-around porch and a stone fence.
